Since 1994, the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC) has provided the grassroots resources and support for communities to identify and leverage the gifts, skills, and talents of their residents. Advancing leadership in neighborhoods and building the capacity of neighborhood-based organizations is crucial to neighborhood revitalization, and we believe that citizens are the core of sustainable community development. In fact, we believe that the best ideas and expertise often come from within a community. Every resident has the right to live in a strong and healthy community and we can’t wait for change to happen from above. <br /> <br /> INRC works to strengthen neighborhoods by developing the talent of their grassroots leaders and making them stewards for positive change. We accomplish this work by showing neighborhood leaders how to engage, organize, mobilize, and collaborate. We believe that the development and support of diverse individual and neighborhood-based organization leadership is necessary for the sustainable revitalization of Indianapolis neighborhoods.
